 First Presbyterian church is served by Pastor Gordy Pennertz, CLP. Gordy was commisioned to serve First Presbyterian on February 3, 2009, but he has filled the pulpit many times during his 25 years as a member, elder and deacon. He and his wife Julie joined the church in 1984. They raised their six children here. Pastor Gordy completed his Lay Pastor training through the Presbytery of MInnesota Valleys. He serves now as part of a tentmaking ministry, serving the church while also supporting his ministry by working at the LItchfield Post Office. He feels strongly that the future of our churches must rely on strong Lay leadership. He believes in biblical preaching that applies the word to our daily life. Our worship is a traditional liturgy with traditional hymns, and is filled with laughter and teaching and fellowship.
